I keep going back to myth and legend, because they are an encounter with the Big Stuff: terror, love, creation, war, fate, heroism, atonement, death, Fate and God. It feels good to roam among the ageless stories, where all narrative has its roots. And its juggernaut splendour crushes petty political correctness under its wheels without anyone even noticing.

I like to alternate original fiction with retellings of existing stories. After all, why incessantly create new beasts when there are magnificent old ones who have roamed the earth for centuries and should never be allowed to become extinct?
